The activities that we propose to you locate in a ray of +/- 25 km of Rochefort. There are of course heaps of other activities to seek, explore, taste, organize, stroll and discover in the area. All the activities mentioned below were tested by our care. We recommend them cordially to you.

The caves dug by Wamme in Rochefort delivered vestiges dating from the age of iron and to the tombs with incineration located on this territory testify to a human establishment as of the first centuries of our era.

The ground is initially known under the term of Behogne, that of an old deanery which depends already into 943 on the Church on Liege , term which makes place with that of Rochefort indicating the top of the locality where raises a feudal castle perhaps built with the site of the ancient fortress. Capital of the county of the same name which constitutes the most important feudal field of the principality of Liege, Rochefort lives under the aegis of the following lords: Montaigu, which is claimed downward of a Norman chief established in the area at the end of IXème S., them Duras (1147), Walcourt-Rochefort (1187), Stolberg (1544), Loewenstein (1574), Stolberg (1737).
